Plumeria multicolour plant

This Plumeria is supplied already rooted and planted in a small pot. It can be gradually moved into a larger container as it develops. Kept in a pot it will remain a medium sized plant. While planting it directly in the garden allows it to develop into a much larger specimen, potentially becoming a tree. Its height and shape can also be controlled through pruning, making it possible to adapt the plant to the space available.

Plumerias are prized for their appearance and intensely fragrant flowers. They prefer plenty of sunlight, warm temperatures and very well drained soil. Water regularly during active growth, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings, and reduce watering during the cooler months.

A balanced fertiliser can be applied during spring and summer to support healthy growth and flowering.

When temperatures fall, Plumeria may naturally become partially or completely deciduous, losing its leaves during winter. This is a normal part of its seasonal cycle and new growth normally develops again when warmer conditions return. Protect the plant from frost and prolonged cold, particularly when grown in a pot. If necessary cut the base of the plant and allow it to grow in the next season.
